    If your dog is taking Lasix as a water pill for dogs, the dosage given is 1 to 2 mg per pound, once or twice a day. A 12 lb dog would start at about 12mg once a day and your vet would adjust that according to your dog’s needs.

    Your vet will tell you how much Lasix to give your dog. Pregnant dogs should not use Lasix. If your dog seems thirsty or restless, contact your vet, so they can adjust the dosage.

    If you are using a diuretic for dogs like dandelion, use 1 teaspoon per 20 lbs. Always let your vet know if you are giving your dog natural diuretic medication.
